Chris went above and beyond helping me, and we ended up taking a surf/snorkel trip a few days later! And found this place that rents E-bikes. It was wonderful to be able to get around on my own. The staff and owner were all super helpful and friendly and taught me how to work the bike. I had so much fun zipping around on it. I also had an awesome breakfast there and browsed their shop which has lovely jewellery that I bought and surf gear. I highly recommend looking these guys up for island style service in beautiful Siargao.“

“When I got to Siargao found it hard to navigate board hire and surf locations. Most want to lock you in for a lesson even if you’re not a beginner. Chris solved this issue was more than happy to give advice and has a great selection of boards. Even went surfing with him a few times – always felt like you were talking with a mate rather than someone selling you something.”

“The best rental experience I’ve had on the island. Chris, the owner, is so honest and helpful. After renting for two weeks, I was struggling with the board and decided after one week that I would need something bigger. He didn’t have anything bigger at the time so gave me a refund for the second week and recommended other places I could go to. After he saw me again he remembered and followed up asking if I was sorted. Just a super helpful, knowledgable guy.

“I never leave reviews, But my experience with Shapeshifter Surf Shop was one worth telling people about. We went to several shops trying to find someone to guide us to surf spots, rent the right board and essentially just not be treated like a tourist. We stopped by Shapeshifter and Chris gave us all the answers with ease. Told us where to go, how to get there, and gave us the right boards for the breaks. If you go to Siargao to surf, just go see Chris at Shapeshifter. By far the best contact we made on our trip. They also do boat tours and scooter rentals, plus have much needed coffee, so kind of a one stop shop. My family would give more than 5 stars if we could“

“We had a wonderful surf and snorkel tour with Shapeshifter. Chris took us in his boat to visit beautiful Guyam island before the crowds arrived, then we went to a fun surf break that we had all to ourselves, before ending with a nice snorkel around the reef. Chris was a fantastic guide and he can personalize the tour based on your interests and your experience level, which we really appreciated! He also took pictures during the tour which he shared with us afterwards, which was a really nice touch!
We had breakfast at Shapeshifter before our tour, too, and it was delicious. This is a great family-run business we were glad to find on our trip.“

“We took a speedboat private snorkel tour. We set off early in the morning and stopped at a small island to enjoy some relaxing time and snorkel among the beautiful coral and fish. The guide was very kind and talked to us about various things. We had a great time thanks to him. They also offer private tours with surf guides and island hopping, so we recommend them when you come to Siargao.“
